Background Information
KU Cisco Networking Academy is set to deliver a comprehensive learning experience that will help students develop the needed foundational skills to design, build and manage networks.
We are set to deliver the necessary training so as to improve career and educational opportunities for individuals in our community by targeting youth and professionals who are seeking to join or advance further in the world of computer networking. KU Cisco academy is part of the CISCO global education initiative from Cisco Systems. We have accreditation in teaching networking in teaching networking programs that is CCNA, CCNA Security, HIN and PC Hardware & Software Maintenance courses as well as prepare students for their certification exams including CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
The Kenyatta University Cisco Networking Academy began in 2008 and has trained 8500 students to date, in both PC Hardware & Software Maintenance and CCNA programmes. This offers a number of benefits to the student such as:
- With much of the course material delivered direct to the student's desktop via the Internet, the NetAcad takes advantage of the latest computer-based training techniques, letting the student work at their own pace, anytime and anywhere.
- The NetAcad labs always contain new equipment, students learn on the actual devices they will be working on in the business.
- The programme qualifies students to pursue a number of industry standard certifications, including A+, N+, CCNA and CCNP.
