Kenyatta University has qualified and fully trained instructors for the Cisco Academy. The university has also provided two computer laboratories with a combined capacity of 100 students. The two laboratories are fully equipped with PIV computers and internet connectivity. Kenyatta University has also provided an extra laboratory and is hoping to become a cisco testing centre in the near future. The training will involve basic information technology knowledge to complex networking principles.
The Cisco Networking Academy is a public-private partnership between Cisco, governments, education Institutions, non-government organizations (NGOs) and industry, created to teach students how to design, build and maintain computer networks.
